I saw this recipe circulating on Facebook recently and had
to give it a try. The original posted recipe called for only two ingredients,
bananas and oats, it was really good but I felt it needed a little crunch so
the next time I made them I added chopped walnuts and I was quite pleased with
the end result. These are not overly sweet so they are a perfect quick, on the
go breakfast item. This recipe is one you could have fun with by adding
whatever tickles your fancy, like dried fruit or seeds.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
2 ripe bananas
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS
Mash the bananas in a bowl.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Place six 1/4 cupful of the mixture on a parchment paper
lined baking sheet and lightly press down with a fork.
Place in a preheated 350 degree Fahrenheit oven and bake for
15 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool completely.
