Ground Turkey and Cabbage Stir-Fry

This is a tasty low-cal, low-fat recipe I really enjoy. It is quick and easy to put together so it is perfect for a busy weeknight meal.

INGREDIENTS
8 ounces lean ground turkey
6 ounces finely chopped savoy cabbage
6 green onions, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons peanut oil
2 teaspoons sesame oil, divided
2 teaspoons rice vinegar
1 to 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
Salt to taste
Ground Black Pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS
Heat the peanut oil along with 1 teaspoon of the sesame oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the ground turkey, cabbage, onion, garlic, ginger, salt and pepper and cook until turkey is no longer pink and cabbage just starts to stick to pan.
Stir in the remaining sesame oil and rice vinegar, taste and adjust seasoning.
Enjoy!

  2. I wanted to make this for two, but know my son and knew the amount of meat would not satisfy him. So i increased everything by half except I doubled the meat. The taste is amazing and we will definitely enjoy this easy dish again. I made it after an absolutely exhausting week at work, and it took no time at all. Thanks for sharing! Made for FYC tag game at Food, Friends and Fun on Yuku. Going into my keeper file!! breezermom

  4. Made this for dinner...the hubby and I both enjoyed it...very easy to prepare...I couldn't remember which cabbage was listed in the recipe...so I picked up a napa...wrong one...but it was delicious anyway...I used red pepper flakes instead of black pepper...it added a nice touch of heat...thanks for sharing your recipe...
