For those of you who don't have access to Frank's RedHot Sauce, I do have a copycat recipe for it HERE
INGREDIENTS
2 pounds wings
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/4 cup Frank’s RedHot sauce
pepper
DIRECTIONS
Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and coat with non-stick
spray.
Place the wings on the baking sheet and generously sprinkle
with fresh ground pepper.
Place in a preheated 425 degree Fahrenheit oven and bake until cooked through and no longer pink in the middle, about 25 to 30 minutes
depending on thickness of wings, checking every ten minutes to make sure they
do not stick.
Turn the broiler on and broil the wings for 2 minutes, or
until skin is nice and crispy and a lovely golden colour.
Remove from oven and toss in a large bowl with the melted
butter and hot sauce.
Enjoy!
Really good! These are quick and easy to make, and turned out crisp and delicious. Loved that they weren't fried!
ReplyDeleteThese were really good. We munched on these while watching football and really enjoyed them. My grandson said that these were a keeper and wants me to make them again for the next game. Thanks for sharing. Made for For Your Consideration tag.

These are excellent...they came out perfect...I was thinking they needed a bit more redhot sauce...but really the flavor was spot on and they weren't slippery...I also loved that they were baked and not fired...made for "For Your Consideration" tag game...TeresaS
ReplyDeleteThx for trying these Teresa, they are a favorite here. I'm glad you enjoyed them :-)
DeleteI liked the addition of the black pepper before cooking. I also appreciated the fact these were baked rather than fried. The wings were crispy & nicely coated. I served with skillet cabbage and a potato salad (and lots of napkins.) Made for FYC tag. Susie D

DeleteI scaled this back for 1/2 the recipe since my 4 chicken wings came in at just under the pound and I cooked them for 45 minutes and used you recipe of http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/franks-redhot-sauce-copycat-13676 (which I look forward to using in other recipes) and the wings were full of flavour and fall apart tender, thank you Bea for a great dinner, made for For Your Consideration tag game at FF&FF. I'm rating this with 5 stars. This was excellent!! It's similar, ingredients wise, to my favorite Barefoot Contessa recipe, so I knew I would like it. This one uses less butter and it's every bit as tasty, if not tastier. Winner, winner, chicken wing dinner! This will go into my Best of 2020 file. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThx for trying this recipe and for your great review, it is greatly appreciated. I'm so glad you enjoyed these wings

Delicious wings! It took mine a little longer to get crispy, but once they got there they were great. I tossed them with the sauce and we had a great meal!
ReplyDeleteThx for your great review, I'm glad you enjoyed the wings.
