A bit about me.

Hello and welcome to my blog,

First off, I love to cook. If I am not at work and I am at home, you will find me in my kitchen cooking away. I do enjoy trying other people's recipes but I love to develop my own. I like making things from scratch, there's a special kind of satisfaction when you make it from scratch. And...... you know exactly what is in the finished product.

My mother was a cook/chef at various local restaurants and cooked all day for a living, so the last thing she wanted to do when she got home was cook some more. She would leave a recipe taped to the refrigerator door for me to make when I got home from school. I loved throwing all the listed ingredients together and was excited when my parents and siblings would tell me how delicious the dish I made was, thus my love for cooking grew.....

Having been diagnosed with Celiac disease, I took a positive approach to this and challenged myself to turn all of my favourite recipes to gluten free. It  has been an adventure and a great learning experience, the results of which are posted here.

All of the recipes you will see here have been made by myself or I have tried and enjoyed and asked for the recipe. I always give credit to the recipe author unless I do not know who the author is which I post author unknown.

I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as we do.

FYI The letters "GF" in front of any ingredient in my recipes is my short from for "Gluten Free" ;)

Please keep in mind that not all dried herbs and spices are gluten free so check the labels to make sure the brand you are using is gluten free. The same applies for prepackaged store-bought items, check the labels to be sure. If in doubt, call the toll free number on packaging to be safe and to make your cooking/eating experience truly gluten free.

Happy Cooking,

Bea
