Spicy Parmesan Crusted Tilapia

This recipe is very easy to put together and is big on taste. You can increase or decrease the heat level by playing around with the amount of cayenne pepper. I have used Frank's RedHot Sauce in this recipe and have also used Tabasco Sauce and both where very nice.

 INGREDIENTS
1 pound tilapia filets
1/2 cup jarred grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup your favorite GF hot sauce
1 teaspoon dried parsley
Dash hot pepper flakes
Pinch garlic powder
Pinch ground cayenne pepper

DIRECTIONS
Whisk together the Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, hot pepper flakes, garlic powder and cayenne pepper and pour into a plate.
Pour the hot sauce in a shallow bowl and mix with the tilapia filets making sure they are evenly coated.
Remove the tilapia filets from the bowl and press onto the Parmesan mixture coating both sides.
Place the coated tilapia on a greased baking sheet and cook in a preheated 450 degree Fahrenheit oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until fish flakes easily when poked with a fork.
Enjoy!

  1. We really enjoyed this dish...I shredded my Parmesan cheese only because I didn't have the grated cheese...the fish came out nice and flaky...so it's a keeper...made for "FYC" tag game...

  2. Yum, yum Bea! Loved this fish recipe and I love the ease of putting it together. We had it for dinner and there was one filet leftover for the next day. I thought that I'd take a couple of bites in the morning but I wound up having all of the leftover for breakfast! A keeper! Thank you Bea for sharing. Made it for FYC.

  4. Quite spicy! My cheese didn't crisp up-just melted-but flavor was still good.

  6. This is going into my Best of 2018 file. It's excellent and sooooooo easy to make!! I like that it's not breaded, too. My son, who isn't a huge fan of fish, said this is his favorite way to eat fish now. Thank you!!!
