This is a side rice recipe we enjoy often, it is so easy to put together and very tasty.
INGREDIENTS
2 cup jasmine rice
2 cups water
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon GF chicken bouillon granules (or 1 mini knorr chicken bouillon tub)
1” piece of turmeric, grated
1/2 of a cooking onion, chopped
8 ounces sliced mushrooms
DIRECTIONS
Melt butter in a skillet over medium high heat and add
onions and mushrooms; cook until onions are translucent.
Transfer mushrooms and onions into a rice cooker and add
remaining ingredients; stir, turn rice cooker on and let it run its course.
Fluff the rice and serve.*Please keep in mind that not all dried herbs and spices are gluten free so check the labels to make sure the brand you are using is gluten free. The same applies for prepackaged store-bought items, check the labels to be sure. If in doubt, call the toll free number on packaging to be safe and to make your cooking/eating experience is truly gluten free.
