Mexican Taco Pizza

This is a great tasting and spicy pizza we really enjoy. Make sure you drain you diced tomatoes and green chilies well or this will be too wet. I place mine in a sieve and let them drain while the dough is being prepared and proofing.

INGREDIENTS
1 pizza crust Click here for recipe
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 (35 gram) envelope GF taco seasoning
1/2 cup water
1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilies, well drained
2 ounces sliced pepperoni
1 1/2 to 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
2 ounces sliced hot pickled peppers
1 ounce thinly sliced onion
1 ounce thinly sliced lettuce
Hot pepper flakes, to taste

DIRECTIONS
Prepare pizza dough as per recipe direction.
Place the ground beef in a skillet and add the taco seasoning and water; cook until liquid is totally reduced and set aside.
When dough is ready to be topped, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix the drained tomatoes and chilies with the chili powder and spread over the dough and top with pepperoni.
Sprinkle the cheese over the pepperoni and tomato mixture and add the ground beef, hot peppers, onion and hot pepper flakes.
Place in oven and cook for 30 to 35 minutes, until bottom of crust is golden brown.
Remove from oven and allow to cool 5 minutes.
Remove from pan, top with lettuce and slice.
Enjoy!
