Grilled Huli Huli Chicken Wings

Huli Huli Chicken is a Hawaiian style recipe I really enjoy. This is my take on it.


2 pounds chicken wings
1/4 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice wine
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon prepared minced ginger
2 cloves garlic, pressed

Mix all the ingredients except the wings in a large re-sealable plastic bag and add the wings; swish to coat and marinate refrigerated for 8 hours.
Remove the chicken wings from the marinade and place on a lightly oiled grill heated to medium heat.
Grill until cooked through and no longer pink on the inside, about 7 to 8 minutes per side, depending on how thick the wings are.
