Dilly KaleSlaw

This is a refreshing salad I like to serve with fish; the dill comes through nicely in this recipe. It is also a great side to burgers or hot dogs.

1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon liquid honey
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon chopped dill
Dash garlic powder
2 cups chopped kale leaves
1 cup finely chopped cabbage
1 carrot grated
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons raisins (optional)

Whisk together the mayonnaise, vinegar, honey, mustard, dill and garlic powder.
Toss in the remaining ingredients making sure all is coated.

*Please keep in mind that not all dried herbs and spices are gluten free so check the labels to make sure the brand you are using is gluten free. The same applies for prepackaged store-bought items, check the labels to be sure. If in doubt, call the toll free number on packaging to be safe and to make your cooking/eating experience is truly gluten free.
