Rice Cooker Shrimp Fried Rice - One Pot is all you need

This easy to put together recipe is company worthy. Everything comes together nicely and makes for a YUMTASTIC meal. All you need is a rice cooker, and these simple ingredients. And get's all done in one pot.

1(400g) package frozen raw jumbo shrimp
1 cup dry basmati rice
1 1/4 cup good quality GF vegetable or chicken broth
1 one inch thick, dollar size piece of ginger, peeled and finely grated
2 cloves garlic, processed through garlic press
1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
GF Soy sauce to taste

Pour the dry rice into an electric rice cooker, add the broth, ginger, garlic and sesame oil and stir to blend.
Add the frozen jumbo shrimp, close lid and start the rice cooker; when the rice cooker is done cooking the rice let the rice sit for 5 minutes without opening the lid.
Fluff the rice, season with soy sauce to taste and serve.

  1. Easy to make. Delicious. Amazing how it cooks in the Rice Cooker. Can't believe how fast to make it was. And last great thing is you can use frozen in the shell shrimp. by LL
