This spicy belly warming soup is tasty and filling. It has
just the right amount of heat for my liking.
INGREDIENTS
1 pound GF Italian sausage
2 stalks celery with leaves, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 carrot, diced
1/2 pound potatoes, diced
1 cup diced turnip
1 can (540 ml) Aylmer
spicy red pepper and petite cut tomatoes
4 cups vegetable broth (I use Knorr)
1 bay leaf
DIRECTIONS
Remove the casings from the sausage and place in a Dutch
oven or heavy bottomed pot along with the onions; cook until meat is no longer
pink.
Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil over
medium-high heat.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for a couple of hours.
Remove bay leaf and ladle into bowls.
Enjoy!
