This great
tasting roast will be a hit with venison meat lovers and even for those who are
not to fond of it. The sauce cuts the wild taste quite nicely. I like to serve
this with mashed potatoes to drizzle some of the sauce over.
INGREDIENTS
5 pounds venison
roast
1 tablespoon
bacon fat
1 tablespoon
cinnamon
1 tablespoon
ginger
2 tablespoon
sugar
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon
vinegar
2 cups tomato
juice
2 onions, chopped
1/2 teaspoon
pepper
DIRECTIONS
Brown roast, in
bacon fat, on all sides, in roasting pan.
Mix remaining
ingredients together.
Pour over roast.
Cook in a 350
degree Fahrenheit oven for 3 hours.
Serve.
We really enjoyed this venison roast. It will be made again soon I'm sure.
