Fried Halloumi

I first tried this recipe when I was a member of a  recipe site. I did change this up a tad bit. The original author of this simple recipe is Ummbinat. The recipe called for this to be served with a pita bread but it is also good with fajita shells.

INGREDIENTS
8 ounces halloumi cheese
1/2 cup GF all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon oregano
1 lemon, cut into wedges
3 tablespoons peanut oil

DIRECTIONS
Mix the flour and oregano together in a shallow bowl; set aside.
Cut the halloumi into 1/4 inch strips.
Rinse the cheese strips and dredge them in the flour mixture.
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the cheese until slightly golden brown about 2 1/2 minutes per side.
Place on GF pita bread or GF fajita shell and serve with lemon wedges.
