Simple Baked Chicken with Dried Thyme

This is as the title says very simple to make and tastes great. The cook time will vary depending on the thickness of the breast so make sure you cook it until juices run clear when poked with a fork. If you are not sure use a meat thermometer, take the breast out when thermometer reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit when inserted in the center of the breast. Do not wait until the thermometer reads 170 which is what the internal temperature of cooked chicken should be; it will continue to cook while resting and be dry.

INGREDIENTS
16 ounces chicken breasts (4 small breasts)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS
Brush the chicken breasts with the olive oil and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and season with remaining ingredients.
Cook in a preheated 375 degree Fahrenheit oven for 30 minutes or until juices run clear when poked with a fork.
Remove from oven and let sit for a few minutes before serving.
Enjoy!
