This tasty
smoothie is perfect for breakfast or a snack in between meals. It is a recipe
from my naturopathic doctor. If you don’t have pumpkin puree you can switch it up with
cooked sweet potatoes.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup
pureed pumpkin
2 navel
oranges, peeled and sectioned (remove all the white membrane)
1
frozen banana, peeled
3/4 cup
unsweetened almond milk
1
tablespoon maple syrup
1
tablespoon ground flax seed
1 1/2 teaspoons
ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon
ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon
cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
Throw
all ingredients into your blender and blend very well until creamy.
Pour
into glasses and enjoy!*Please keep in mind that not all dried herbs and spices are gluten free so check the labels to make sure the brand you are using is gluten free. The same applies for prepackaged store-bought items, check the labels to be sure. If in doubt, call the toll free number on packaging to be safe and to make your cooking/eating experience is truly gluten free.
