During the
summer months we head off to our summer camp for the weekend right after work. We are usually starving by the time we arrive so this quick to put
together hot dog recipe is perfect and is always devoured in no time. The
recipe is listed for one hot dog so adjust the ingredients according to how
many people you are feeding. Of course your favorite toppings can easily be
added to this yummy hot dog.
INGREDIENTS
1 GF ball park
style wiener (I use Schneider's All Naturals)
1 GF hot dog
bun
1 romaine
lettuce leaf
1 slice cheddar
cheese
2 slices
cooked bacon
2 cherry or
grape tomatoes, quartered
Mayonnaise
to taste
Mustard to
taste
DIRECTIONS
Cook the
wiener on the grill for about 8 to 10 minutes over direct medium heat; heat the buns over
indirect heat during the last 5 minutes of cook time.
Place the cheese
slice on the hot dog bun and place the wiener in the romaine leaf along with
the slices of cooked bacon then top with tomatoes, mayonnaise and mustard.
Enjoy!
