Curried Cabbage

This is a delicious curry side dish I really enjoy. You can use turkey or vegetarian bacon in this if you don't eat pork. The original author of this recipe is a luvcookn at Recipezazz.com (I made a few slight changes)

 INGREDIENTS
5 bacon slices
5 tablespoons coconut oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 small head savoy cabbage, shredded
1/4 cup chicken broth (if needed)
salt, to taste
cayenne pepper, to taste

DIRECTIONS
Fry bacon in large skillet until crisp and place on wire rack or between paper towels and set aside.
In same skillet over medium heat add coconut oil, onion, curry powder, garam masala and saute for 2 - 3 minutes.
Add shredded cabbage, cover and cook, stirring occasionally until cabbage is soft; add a wee bit of broth as needed if this starts to stick.
Break bacon into pieces and stir into cabbage along with salt and cayenne pepper to taste.
