Hearty Chicken Soup

This is a soup we enjoy often during the winter months, it is delicious and very hearty!

2 pounds chicken pieces bone in skin removed and discarded
5 cups water
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup mixed grains
1 tablespoon GF chicken bouillon granules
1 teaspoon dried rosemary, ground with mortar and pestle
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried basil

Place all the ingredients in a crock-pot and cook on high for 6 hours.
Remove the chicken pieces and allow cooling just enough to handle.
Remove and discard the bones; chop the chicken and return to crock-pot.
Cook for another hour, adjust seasoning, ladle into bowls and serve.
