Delicious Chicken Drumsticks

These drumsticks are loaded with flavor and so easy to put together. Toss everything together in a bag to marinate and pour into a casserole dish to cook and, voila, dinner is served!!!

INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon onion salt
2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon savory
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1 cup water
2 pounds chicken drumsticks

DIRECTIONS
Mix all the ingredients except drumsticks in a large re-sealable plastic bag and swish to blend the ingredients well.
Add the chicken pieces, take out as much of the air as you can and seal the bag; swish to coat the drumsticks.
Place in the refrigerator and marinate for 12 to 24 hours.
Pour the contents of the plastic bag in a 12 inch casserole dish, cover and cook in a preheated 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 1 hour, turning after 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and place the drumsticks on a baking sheet and return to oven; cook for another 10 to 15 minutes until cooked through and the juices run clear when poked with a fork. (This will depend on how thick your drumsticks are.)
Turn the broiler on and broil the drumsticks 6 inches away from burner for 3 to 5 minutes or until the skin is crispy.
Enjoy!

  1. Great chicken! The chicken was very flavorful. I loved the cooking technique, with broiling to finish. As a result, the chicken was moist, flavorful, and crispy on the outside. Thank you!

  2. We loved these drumsticks. I marinated them for 12 hours, and can just imagine how flavorful they would be if I'd let them marinate longer. The flavors were wonderful and it is a definite repeat recipe. Thanks for sharing. Made for FYC tag game. breezermom
