This is like the perfect comfort f...Oh my goodness! This is like the perfect comfort food! Interestingly, my grocery store only had fresh Kielbasa - which I took home and pan fried whole then diced. It was soooo good, and I'm sure it affected the flavor (positively, I might add!). Otherwise, followed the recipe exactly. I wondered why it called for shredded cabbage and sauerkraut - but think leaving out the fresh cabbage would be overwhelming. I halved the recipe, but wish I'd made the whole thing for some yummy leftovers!
