This is 4 servings if serving as an appetizer or 2 servings if this is the main meal.

INGREDIENTS
2 pounds wings, split
1/8 cup avocado oil
1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/4 cup tamari sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Lemon pepper, to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Pour the avocado oil, lemon juice, tamari and garlic powder in a large re-sealable plastic bag, swish to mix.
  2. Add the wings, seal the bag and shake lightly to coat wings; place in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours.
  3. Preheat oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. Remove the wings from marinade and discard marinade.
  5. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and place the wings on parchment paper.
  6. Place the wings in the oven and cook for 10 minutes, turn over and cook for another ten minutes or until cooked through (This will depend on thickness of wings.
  7. You can place the wings under the broiler for a couple of minutes  if you want to crisp them up a bit but this is not necessary.
  8. Sprinkle with a bit of lemon pepper.

  1. I made this the other night using 5 chicken wings with a weight of just under 1.5 pounds and I used soy sauce for the tamari as gluten is not an issue for me but could not get avocado oil so used olive oil and the end result was 5 delicious fall of the bone meat that was finger licking good.
